Payment agreements for claims from the Housing Bank

If you cannot pay the full amount at once, you can apply to split the claim into instalments or to defer the claim.

If you do not pay or enter into a voluntary payment plan with us, we must collect the claim through enforcement proceedings.

You must contact us if you have not paid your mortgage and you want to split the payment into instalments.

If you're required to repay your housing allowance from the Housing Bank, you can log in and split the claim into instalments.

You cannot defer the payment of a defaulted mortgage from the Housing Bank.

To repay your housing allowance from the Housing Bank, you're usually granted up to two months deferral. If you need more than two months to pay, we recommend that you contact us to split the payment into instalments.

If you’re unable to use online services, you may also submit your application on paper. The application must be in writing and state what it applies to. You must include proof of all the relevant information.

Example of information that may be important to attach proof of:

  • whether your income has been reduced
  • new expenses that we may take into consideration and that are not already registered
  • increases in existing expenses, for example, your rent
  • changes in your marital status, so that you now pay all the expenses yourself
  • whether you are supporting your spouse/cohabiting partner

You do not have to provide proof of cost of living expenses.

Send the application to:

Statens innkrevingssentral
Postboks 455
8601 Mo i Rana

If you're granted a payment deferral, you’ll receive a new invoice from us.

You will not be granted a payment deferral if you:

  • have defaulted on the claim you're applying for a deferral for, that is when the deadline in the notification of enforced collection has passed
  • are under 18 years of age
