As of 1 January 2026, new debt collection rules will take effect and several collection authorities will be merged into one: the Collection Authority in the Tax Administration. This means that we are:
- phasing out sismo.skatteetaten.no and moving all the content to skatteetaten.no
- rebuilding and updating skatteetaten.no for a few days from and including 1 January
Account number for compensations
Submit your account number so that the money is deposited in the right account.
If you want us to collect compensation on your behalf, we'll send you a power of attorney that you must fill in and submit to us. You must also state which account number you want us to pay the compensation amount to.

If the person who is receiving the compensation payment is under 18, they must always have their own account number.
