Appeals

You have a right to appeal our decisions relating to your enterprise. In some cases, we must forward your appeal to the person or persons who assessed the claim.

If you want to appeal why and how a claim originated, you must contact the person who owns or has assessed the claim.

The appeal must be in writing and contain:

  • What you’re appealing – for example, the case processing, the collection, or offsetting
  • An explanation of why you’re appealing
  • What your objective is with the appeal – for example, cancelling claims and attachments placed on assets
  • A signature
  • Relevant proof. This could be that you have documents proving that the claim we’re collecting is not valid

Collection will continue until the appeal is processed

Please note that your appeal will not normally stop the collection of the claim.

Appeal deadlines can vary from case to case. We will inform you about this in our letters.
